A 10 year old boy who may have been headed toward a school bus stop is in the hospital after being hit by a car.
Shreveport police say witnesses reported that the child darted out into the street in the 1600 block of David Raines just as a car approached around 7:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The car hit him, knocking him down. Police say the boy's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
Police say several other children were gathered at a school bus stop at the time and that appears to be where the boy was headed.
The driver of the car that hit him was not at fault and was not cited, police said.
