Arrest Made in Overnight Shooting

Shreveport police have arrested a man in connection with an overnight shooting which they say was the result of an argument.
Raymond Wright, 23, is charged with attempted second degree murder.
Det. Robert Gordon told KSLA News 12 Wright had been involved in a dispute with Andre Palmer, 36, shortly before 1 a. m. Tuesday.
Gordon said officers found Palmer in the 5900 block of Attaway Street, suffering from several gunshot wounds to the upper body.  He was taken to LSU Hospital by ambulance and is in critical condition.
"We have one person in custody that I'll be interviewing later," said Gordon.  "(I'll) make the determination later of whether or not it might've been self defense or if it was something that was unprovoked."
After that interview, police determined that Wright should face charges in the case.  He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
