A Bossier parish man is the first in the state to be found guilty of internet sex charges. Usually those arrested for soliciting sex from a minor using the internet plead guilty.
52 year old James Prine decided to fight the charges and in about two hours a jury returned a guilty verdict.
Bossier parish police say Prine was on the internet with two different officers at the same time making two different arrangements for sex. He thought one officer was a 14 year old girl, and thought the other was a 28 year old mother of an 11 year old daughter. He wrote about wanting to create a fake robbery in order to have sex with the child.
Prine was arrested back in February at a gas station in Bossier City. Police say in the trunk of his car was a gun, handcuffs, box cutters, tape, rope and even condoms.
He will be sentenced in a few weeks and faces as much as 50 years behind bars.
