Plasma Center Again Targeted by Thief

A burglar seems to be deriving a different meaning from the name of a Shreveport blood center.  Shreveport police say Talecris Plasma Resources has been targeted repeatedly by a thief who's not after the blood products, but plasma TVs.
The most recent break-in happened around 3:30 a. m. Tuesday when someone threw a rock through the front glass door.  The person then walked inside and removed a flat screen television from its perch.  More than an hour later, KSLA News 12 spotted an employee sweeping up the broken glass.  However, she declined to comment on the situation.
The latest break-in was similar to one that occurred September 17, 2007.  The only difference, police said, was that, instead of using a rock, the burglar smashed the glass with a concrete address sign.  In fact, detectives told KSLA News 12 they believe the same person is responsible for both burglaries.
Anyone with information is asked to call Shreveport Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373.
