Arkansas Emergency Crews Busy With Haz-Mat Incidents

There were a pair of haz-mat incidents out of Arkansas Wednesday.

The first one happened in Miller County on County Road 41 near Fouke.

Fire crews received a call that a gas well was on fire. After the well was shut down and firefighters received the all-clear, they made their way to the well site.

What they found was not a gas well fire, but a grass fire.

It's believed the fire was started by the well's burn off valve.

The other haz-mat situation involved a utility truck hauling diesel.

It happened along a stretch of Clay Pit Road, around 10:30 Wednesday morning.

The driver told police the load shifted during a turn, causing the truck to roll over.

Some of the diesel leaked out of the tank.

The driver was not injured.
