Texarkana will soon be home to a new call center that could employ as many as 500 permanent and up to 250 seasonal employees.
Harte-Hanks is an international direct and targeted marketing company.
They'll occupy the site that used to house Windstream Communications and Valor Telecomm, which shut down last year and laid off all their employees.
Company officials say the facility was a strong factor, along with the community's enthusiasm for what is expected to be a boon to the local economy.
"These will be full time employees with benefits, these are professional jobs, that they will go in and grow with the nationally recognized company, so we anticipate significant financial impact on the area," said Harte-Hanks Vice President Jack Jaden.
Hiring has not yet begun for the new call center they hope to begin that process in the near future.
They're expected to up and running sometime early next year.
