Fire at chicken plant sends workers outdoors overnight

Some tense moments for workers at a local business early Wednesday morning.

Around 12:45 AM, fire fighters responded to a fire alarm at the Pilgrims Pride plant in Bossier City.

When they arrived, they found a grease vat had caught fire.

Luckily, the building's sprinkler system exstinguished the flames before any major damage could be done.

Workers were evacuated from the building for about an hour.

No injuries were reported.
