Shreveport Dealers Say Strike Won't Cause Problems For Now

Several GM dealers around Shreveport say the strike by the United Auto Workers against General Motors will not hurt their inventory.
The dealers we spoke with said they're not concerned about the strike, saying they don't think it will last very long.
They also said they ordered extra vehicles, building up their inventories in anticipation of the strike. Some dealers even have more cars on the way.
Nationally, GM said they had about a 65-day supply of cars on hand. That was at the beginning of September.
