A Shreveport woman who suffered stab wounds Thursday night is pointing the finger of blame at her boyfriend.
Bobbie Jo Range, 49, told officers she was at home in the 1600 block of Dickinson Street when her boyfriend returned to the residence around 11:00 p. m. and the two began arguing.
Range told officers the angry words then escalated, with her boyfriend first hitting her with his fist and then stabbing her with a knife in the neck and thigh. Her wounds were described as minor.
Police arrested Albert Thomas, III, 48, at the scene, but they say he put up a struggle and was bitten by a police dog.
Both he and Range were taken to LSU Hospital for treatment of their wounds. Police say Thomas will be booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
