Drivers on Interstate 20, particularly through Bossier City, could be in for some delays caused by scheduled road work Wednesday. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says a crew will be conducting a routine inspection of the Red River bridge in Bossier City between the hours of 9:00 a. m. and 3:00 p. m.
The work will restrict traffic to just two lanes on the eastbound side of the bridge. Additionally, the DOTD says the on-ramps to I-20 east from northbound Youree Drive and southbound Market Street will be closed all together during the inspection.
According to a DOTD press release, the project is scheduled for one day, weather permitting. Check back with this website for any potential changes in that schedule.
