Stormtracker Steve Parr is the Stormtracker 12 Chief Meteorologist for KSLA News 12.   He has earned the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.  That's on top of his Broadcast Meteorology degree and Masters Degree in Geosciences from Mississippi State University.

Stormtracker Steve arrived at KSLA in 2007, and tracked hurricanes Ike and Gustav as they plowed through the ArkLaTex in 2008.  He was on air for nearly 16 hours straight during the Christmas Eve tornado outbreak in 2009.  He leads our weather coverage of tornados, winter storms, and record breaking summer heat.

Steve has spent nearly a decade tracking storms for our sister station, KLTV in East Texas.  That included tracking Hurricane Rita, Tropical Storm Allison, the Ice Storm of 1999, and numerous tornados and severe thunderstorms.

Steve is an avid soccer fan and holds a National Soccer Coaching License.  He also writes and records music in his spare time.  He enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and his pet cat.
