Jerome D. Danzell, M.D., has been a practicing cardiologist since 1997. Dr. Danzell attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he achieved numerous honors. He completed his medical training, including a cardiology fellowship program, at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport.
Dr. Danzell is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Cardiovascular Subspecialty Board in cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
He was an Instructor and Interventionalist for the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Danzell was also a staff cardiologist with Red River Cardiology at the former Bossier Medical Center. On April 1, 1999, Dr. Danzell joined Cardiovascular Consultants when Red River Cardiology merged with this practice.
Dr. Danzell has subspecialized his practice in the care of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). He offers specialized screening and testing procedures to evaluate the extent of poor circulation in the extremities (arms and legs). He also provides minimally invasive interventional procedures to restore proper circulation to the affected parts of the body using techniques perfected in treating blockages of the coronary arteries.
Dr. Danzell provides cardiology services at both the WK-Pierremont Health Center and Willis-Knighton South. His office is located in Suite 740 on the seventh floor of the medical office building at Willis-Knighton Pierremont, which is situated at 8001 Youree Drive in southeast Shreveport.
