A 23 year old Shreveport man faces several charges, including attempted kidnapping, following an incident involving his girlfriend late Monday night.
Shreveport police say they were called to the 100 block of E. Merrick Street after 11:30 p. m. to investigate the claim. The victim told officers her boyfriend had tried to pull her into his car against her will, and then hit her in the face, knocking out at least one of her teeth.
According to police, the boyfriend then ran away, leaving behind his vehicle.
Just before 2:00 a. m. Tuesday, police arrested Anthony James, 23, at the Stone Vista apartments on E. Stoner Avenue. They say, in addition to attempted kidnapping, he also is charged with second degree battery.
