Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover has chosen a new City Attorney. The announcement of Terri Scott's appointment to the position came late Thursday afternoon. Scott has served as the Assistant City Attorney for Shreveport since 1989.
Scott will replace former City Attorney Ramon Lafitte, who stepped down from the job in November 2006 after Mayor Glover took office.
In Thursday's press release, Mayor Glover says, "Terri Scott possesses a wealth of knowledge about the law, and in particular, the law as it relates to government. Her honesty and integrity are part of what makes her the best candidate for this position. Undeniably, Terri is one of the best attorneys in Shreveport."
