Try these Daily Shortcuts right at home to keep your scissors sharp.
The trick to keeping your scissors sharp is to cut surfaces that will sharpen the blades. Take a large piece of aluminum foil and fold it several times. Now, just cut the aluminum foil until the blades become sharpened. Use the same idea with common sandpaper. Since the texture of the sandpaper is an abrasive, you don't have to fold it first. Simply cut the sandpaper several times to sharpen the blades. Finally, cut through a wool cleaning pad to sharpen your scissors. Not only will it sharpen the blades, you now have two cleaning pads instead of one.
Using these blade sharpening techniques will keep your scissors in top cutting form.
