Jayne Ruben has served as News Director of KSLA News 12 since October 2004. Jayne started at KSLA News 12 in February 1988 as the 5pm producer. She has held a number of different positions during tenure at KSLA News 12, including Executive Producer, Special Projects Producer, Parenting Reporter, and Managing Editor. She graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in December 1985 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She began her broadcast news career as a tape editor/chyron operator at a Baton Rouge television station while still in college. Jayne is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Jayne is married to James T. Ruben, Jr. and they have four children.
