The fear of major wildfires like the ones in Oklahoma and Texas have pushed Ark-La-Tex officials to put most of our area under a burn ban.
All areas of Oklahoma, east Texas and southwest Arkansas within the Ark-La-Tex are now under a burn ban.
In Louisiana, the parishes of Webster, Desoto and Red River have issued burn bans.
Lincoln Parish Fire Districts do not have an official ban, but they're urging people to avoid any burning.
All Bienville Parish Fire Districts have issued bans except in Districts One, Two and Three.
In Claiborne Parish, the only burn ban is in the town of Haynesville.
Most of Bossier Parish north of Interstate 220 falls under a ban there, and in Caddo Parish, the only burn ban issued so far is for Fire District Two.
