Hummers Head To South Louisiana

Shreveport's General Motors plant has answered the call to help Louisiana in its rebuilding efforts.
Saturday afternoon, the GM plant loaded 12 Hummer H3's onto transporters.
Plant Manager Dave Gibbons says the governor's office made a special request for the SUV's because so many areas of south Louisiana remain inaccessible.
Gibbons said the locally built H3 can really make a difference in getting into those hard-to-reach areas.
"The H3 has exceptional off-road capabilities and to supplement the efforts in south Louisiana we equipped these truck with brush guards, off road lights and large tires," he said.
The SUV's also come with the On-Star satellite service.
They'll be on-loan to the state for the next six months.
