(KSLA) - A Bossier Parish man's truck has been found wrecked in Mississippi.

But 32-year-old Shawn "Corey" King, of the 2000 block of Chelsy Drive in Benton, still is missing.

And Bossier sheriff's deputies will head out for Mississippi on Wednesday morning.

King has been missing since Aug. 3.

He and his black 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe with Louisiana license plate 914AVZ last were seen about 8:30 p.m. that date at a gas station near Louisiana Downs in Bossier City.

Now authorities confirm that the SUV was abandoned after a one-vehicle crash in Yazoo County, MS, just north of Jackson, MS.

Yazoo County sheriff's deputies found no one at the scene in the 12000 block of Mississippi Highway 16 near Benton, MS.

Nor was there any obvious evidence of foul play, Bossier sheriff's detectives said.

In the crash Aug. 4, the SUV hit a tree and the airbags deployed, Shea King posted on Facebook.

Previously, investigators pinged King's phone and found it too was in the Yazoo City, MS, area.

That was just the phone, not him, they stressed.

Authorities urge anyone with any information about King to call the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203, their local law enforcement agency or 911.
