A Texarkana motorcycle group is doing what it can to help kids make it back to school in style.
Members with the "Ruff Ryders Motorcycle Lifestyle" group cruised Texarkana neighborhoods today giving out school backpacks to kids without, giving nearly 100 backpacks during Saturday's ride.
The "Ruff Ryders" decided to do this charity run as a remembrance of one of their leaders who was killed last year in a motorcycle wreck.
"We dipped in our own pockets just to donate additional money the more supplies we can get the more kids we can bless," said Robert Greene.
A spokesman for the group said sometimes motorcycle riders get a bad name but this is a way they are able to give back to the community in a positive way.
The group held a fundraiser last week to purchase the supplies.
"Hopefully next year it will be even larger," said Nicole Moorhead.
