New two-way street conversion in Texarkana, TX complete

Texarkana's 3rd and 4th streets now are 2-way streets

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - Traffic should be a lot easier to get through and more spread out now for residents in Texarkana, Texas.

3rd and 4th streets located in Downtown Texarkana have officially been converted from a one-way to two-way streets.

Old signs are still in the process of being removed, and city officials are advising residents to pay attention to the intersections and the new stop signs.

The new conversion is to assist increasing vehicular access to the downtown area, making a safer driver and pedestrian environment, and paying tribute to the new streets of its sister city, Texarkana, Arkansas.
