COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

With one of the biggest hip-hop concerts taking place at Williams-Brice Stadium on Aug. 21, some Richland School District One schools will dismiss student earlier than they normally do.

According to district spokesperson Karen York, six schools will dismiss students early due to the high volume of traffic expected in the area the day Beyonce and Jay-Z's "On the Run II" concert will be in Columbia.

Dreher High and the Olympia Learning Center will release students at 11 a.m. while A.C. Moore Elementary, Rosewood Elementary, and South Kilbourne Elementary will have a noon dismissal. Hand Middle school will release students at 1 p.m.

Even Billboard posted a video on social media about the early dismissal.

Officials say the early dismissals will hopefully help reduce the likelihood that buses will be delayed by traffic.

The remaining Richland 1 schools will remain on their normal dismissal schedules.
