A fugitive who is a suspect in a Dallas murder case has now been arrested in Sulphur Springs.
Clyde Earl Taylor III, 33, of Sulphur Springs was taken into custody about noon Tuesday during the execution of a warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Craig Street.
A lieutenant with the Sulphur Springs Police Department said Dallas County officials contacted the department and requested assistance executing the warrant.
A Dallas County Sheriff's Office official said the warrant was issued on July 9 and the initial incident occurred on May 28.
The Sulphur Springs Police Department SWAT team, North East Texas Fugitive Task Force and Hopkins County Sheriff's Office all assisted with the arrest.
Officers surrounded the home and Taylor came out without incident, according to the SSPD. Taylor was taken into custody in the front yard of the home and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
Taylor is charged with murder and remains in the Hopkins County Jail on $100,000 bond.
According to the Dallas Police Department blog, Taylor is suspected of murdering Briana Williams, 22.
Police say that at about 5:30 a.m. May 28, officers responded to a call about an unconscious woman in the parking lot of a business in the 11000 block of Zodiac Lane. They later determined the woman had died from homicidal violence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
