SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 2 a.m. in the 900 block of Pierremont Road in the parking lot of Towne Oak Square, next to the Sprint store.

Police say several witnesses heard multiple gunshots but did not see the shooter.

A short time later a man was found lying next to a gray 2005 Mazda with at least three gunshot wounds in his legs and side, according to police.

The man was taken to a Shreveport hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

No arrests have been made.
