A Georgia man was arrested by Caddo Sheriff’s detectives for allegedly participating in a counterfeit check scheme that took over $7,000.
Deputies say 29-year-old Quentin Adams was arrested in Douglasville, Georgia, on June 26.
On Sunday, Adams was extradited to Caddo Parish and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for monetary instrument abuse.
Adams is accused of giving other suspects counterfeit checks to cash at local banks.
In all, four fake checks were cashed using the banking information of two businesses whose accounts were compromised.
The total amount stolen was $7,692.
