Police ID suspect in shooting at Stoner Avenue boat launch

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police think they know at least one person who was involved in a shooting during a large gathering Memorial Day weekend near the Stoner Avenue boat launch.

Authorities on Monday identified 22-year-old ElJamario Washington, of the the 8100 block of Pines Road in Shreveport, as their suspect.

He is wanted on one count each of illegal use of a weapon and aggravated flight from an officer.

Three men were wounded in the shooting at 8:02 p.m. May 27 in a parking lot off Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway along the banks of Red River.

Authorities say 22-year-old Jamaria Cornelious, 22-year-old Trecarlos Dillard and 20-year-old Jaylin Shakir are recovering and expected to be OK.
