Thomas Morstead has been a mainstay on the Saints roster since 2009. His consistency and production earned him the 19th spot on our countdown.
Morstead is coming off another stellar season where he averaged 47 yards per punt, eighth in the NFL. His 42.2 net yards per punt were sixth in the NFL. The last image of Morstead from the season earned him a lot of respect around the NFL. In their heartbreaking loss to Minnesota on the final play of regulation in the playoffs, Morstead was the first Saints player to jog back on the field for the extra point. A Vikings fan saw the image and started a donation campaign to Morstead's charity that went on to raise thousands of dollars.
In the offseason, the Saints rewarded him with an extension this offseason.. He's now signed through 2022. In 2018, the Saints will count on Morstead's consistency and production once again.
