BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A soldier killed in Germany during World War II will finally be laid to rest in his family's cemetery this weekend.
Army Staff Sgt. Leo Husak was killed in action in 1945.
For nearly three-quarters of a century, an unidentified body lay at rest in a Netherlands cemetery.
With advances in technology, the remains have been positively identified as those belonging to Husak.
SSGT Husak will be buried on Saturday, June 23 in West, Texas.
