SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - We now know a closing date for a business that's been in the Shreveport community for 68 years.
The owners of Sun Furniture announced earlier this year that they'd be retiring and shutting down the business to spend time with family.
They now say their last day in business will be May 18.
Owner Randy Greengus said a lot has changed since he took over his Dad's business 44 years ago.
"It used to be 12 to 15 furniture stores on the avenue back in the '70s and '80s.
"We are the lone wolf now. We are the last ones here.
"But it's been a good ride."
The store is amid a big going-out-of-business sale on its remaining inventory.
