NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Moderate to heavy rain will fall across the area this morning as a cold front moves through. Cooler, drier air will move in behind the front leaving the afternoon drier with temperatures only in the low 60s.

Nice, sunny weather will stick around through Friday with chilly mornings and cool afternoons. Morning lows do not look to dip into freezing conditions over the next 7 days, although some spots north of the Lake could dip into the mid to upper 30s.

Nearly 12,000 Entergy customers were without power Tuesday morning. Entergy estimated power would be restored between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Our next storm system arrives on Saturday with a good chance for rain and storms. Another decent cold front moves in after that with more cool and dry early Spring weather.
