Expect many dry hours over the next couple of days with only spotty afternoon storms. Where those storms pop up, heavy rain and frequent lightning are possible. Highs will still reach the low 90s and it will feel like 100-105 at times.

Friday and Saturday, moisture will increase and so will storm chances. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with minor street flooding if storms train over the same areas. Highs temperatures will only reach the upper 80s to near 90 as a result.

Storm chances decrease early next week and highs will return to the low 90s but there will still be spotty storms around each day.

There are no tropical systems threatening the Gulf of Mexico at this time.
