Suspect Arrested in South Shreveport Homicide

Shreveport police charged 21-year-old Daniel Reeder of Shreveport with second-degree murder as a result of Wednesday's death investigation in an upscale southeast Shreveport neighborhood.   Investigators allege 52-year-old Larry Laird was shot around 8:30 Sunday night.   Police described the two men as companions.   Officers were called to Laird's home, in the 8000 block of Captain Mary Miller Drive in the Haven Subdivision, at 4:45pm Wednesday.   They responded to the home after a woman reported to Bossier City Police that someone was dead inside the house.  When police arrived, they say they found Reeder in the victim's driveway.
