There's no way to sugarcoat it, losing to Atlanta Thursday night hurt.

"The last one sucked, especially being Atlanta," tackle Terron Armstead bluntly explained.

But what's done is done and now it's time to move on to the Jets. While the Saints are taking the final three games of the season one play at a time, they've also admitted to keeping a close eye on the NFC playoff standings.

"Anybody in this locker room that says they're not looking at them is probably lying to you," Sheldon Rankins said. "We can only control what we can control."

"You're a human being; you're on to what's going on," veteran wide receiver Ted Ginn, Jr. said. "You just stay focused in the locker room as a team so we can move to one goal and one goal only. That's the next one."

The current NFC playoff picture looks like this:

1.) Philadelphia 11-2

2.) Minnesota 10-3

3.) Los Angeles Rams 9-4

4.) New Orleans 9-4

5.) Carolina 9-4

6.) Atlanta 8-5

Things are tight, but unlike some previous years, the Saints don't need help from anyone. If they keep on winning everything they want is still well within their grasp.

"Just got to take care of this next one," Armstead said. "We still are in control of everything as far as playoff position goes, NFC South standings go. We're still in control of everything."
