SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - At least one person was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Shreveport Wednesday morning.
Police responded to the 1800 block of Gary Street just after 6 a.m., according to Caddo 911 records. Police on the scene believe that the shooting took place on Sycamore Street, and the victim then walked to a home on Gary Street, leaving a blood trail.
Officers on scene say a man was found with at least one gunshot wound to the face and he was taken to University Health hospital. The man's injuries were superficial, and are considered non-life-threatening.
The scene was not far from the Shreveport Police Department. A neighbor said that the neighborhood is usually quiet.
