(RNN) - Amazon has added a big name to its Prime streaming service's lineup.

The online giant has inked a deal with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman to publish exclusive content from Skybound Entertainment; Kirkman co-founded the production company with David Alpert in 2010.

The new partnership doesn't affect existing shows produced by Skybound (The Walking Dead, Outcast, Fear the Walking Dead), but to follow anything new from the company, you'll have to watch it on Amazon Prime.

And if Skybound's massive array of titles are any indicator, there'll be plenty to choose from.

Skybound has jumped into several different programming ventures in the past few years, including YouTube Red, virtual reality projects and new phone apps. These signal a change in the company's once smaller ambitions, and show that Kirkman's committed to making Skybound - and his comics - bigger than ever.

Rival services Netflix and Disney have been at odds this week after the latter announced they'll be creating their own streaming service. All Disney movies will soon be taken off Netflix, making this move from Amazon particularly noteworthy.
