SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The Caddo Crawfish Farm in Shreveport says business has been good this year.

"Business is booming. Business is booming for the crawfish season. We're catching a lot of crawfish. We're selling a lot of crawfish. We're selling between 33 to 5 thousand pounds a week of crawfish," says Smokey James, owner of Caddo Crawfish Farm.

The right mix of a wet Fall and warm Winter has helped this year's crop. For James, his particular crop of crawfish will thrive through the 4th of July.

Prices for the Easter weekend are at $2.25/lb and will drop .15-.25/lb on Monday.
