TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

A Texarkana, Ark man in jail for reportedly killing his girlfriend will be arraigned on Tuesday.

Authorities say, Tony Taylor, 56, led detectives to a remote wooded area east of Ogden, Ark., where they found the body of his 35-year-old girlfriend Crystal Reed buried in a shallow grave.

Reed's mother notified police around 4 p.m. on March 7, that Reed was missing and that Reed and Taylor had been arguing before she left her apartment, authorities said.

Police said they found Taylor around 1:30 p.m. on March 8 at a residence near East 24th Street at Jefferson Avenue in Texarkana, Ark., and took him in for questioning.

It was during that interview that Taylor reportedly told detectives that he fatally stabbed Crystal Reed in the chest with the knife as the two were fighting Monday evening, authorities say.

An autopsy of Crystal Reed’s body will be conducted by the state medical examiner’s office.

Reed is charged with one count each of first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.

His bond is set at $750,000.
