According to SWEPCO outage map, thousands are without power in southeast Shreveport.
An icon on the website's outage map says that the outages are just north of the Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
The website a total of 6,400 are affected because of this outage. SWEPCO spokesperson Scott McCloud said that the outage is due to locked circuits. Possibly because of falling trees or tree limbs.
"When you have a lot of rain like this, trees get water logged and they fall," McCloud said.
Another outage is located off Bert Kouns Industrial Loop near Brook Hollow Drive. It says that 36 customers are without power.
Crews are working to restore power to affected areas of the city.
