SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are investigating a shooting, a stolen vehicle and whether they might be related.

As of now, authorities have yet to make a connection between the two.

A man showed up April 3 at University Health for treatment of a gunshot wound to his left leg.

The vehicle he was driving had eight bullet holes, authorities said.

Detectives have yet to determine whether he was in or outside the vehicle when he was shot.

Meantime, three people bailed out of a car April 3 in the city's Woodlawn Terrace neighborhood and took off running, authorities said.

Police said the vehicle abandoned at Clift Avenue at West 69th Street turned out to have been stolen.

Authorities since have detained the three people who fled.
