The name and concept for a new restaurant opening in Spartanburg in the Spring of 2017 was announced on Monday.
TMS Development stated that Rick Erwin Dining Group will be opening The Standard at Drayton Mills Marketplace.
Creators say the menu will introduce to Spartanburg some new entrees such as St. Louis ribs, southern fried chicken, grilled Atlantic salmon, and lump crab cakes, just to name a few. They said the menu will also feature fresh, made to order items including salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and house made desserts.
"We anticipate The Standard to exceed the expectations of customers,” said the CEO of the development group John Montgomery. “This location, which fronts Drayton Road, will help anchor Drayton Mills Marketplace, attracting patrons from near and far.”
The Standard will join other tenants, including Mozza Roasters and Melotte Enterprises Inc., a coffee roasting business, coffee shop and corporate headquarters; and the regional offices of Agracel, Inc., an industrial developer. It will seat 185 guests in more than 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space.
“We view this as a community centered on excellence.” Tara Sherbert of TMS Development said. “From the luxury lofts to events, to our dining and retail options, Drayton Mills is creating a lifestyle – a place where people can live, work and play.”
