SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Police have released images from surveillance cameras in an attempt to identify and arrest 2 males in connection with a robbery Wednesday morning at an east Shreveport restaurant.

It happened shortly after 4 a.m. at Southfield Grill in the 300 block of Southfield Road.

Officers were told that while employees were preparing to open the store for business, 2 men wearing gloves on their hands and black bandanas or some other type of covering over their faces were seen inside the business.

The 2 men forced employees into the restaurant's cooler, police said, but not before robbing one of them of a small amount of cash.

The duo - one of medium build, the other short - then fled on foot, taking the diner's cash register with them.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.

Authorities ask anyone with any information to call Shreveport police at (318) 673-7300 or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit the group's website lockemup.org.
