BENTON, LA (KSLA) -

A foster parent is accused of having sex with at least 3 boys under age 12 for a number of years and of producing and possessing child pornography.

Bossier sheriff's detectives arrested 51-year-old Terral Anthony Parfait, of 2500 block of Mayflower Road in Haughton, on Tuesday night.

Booking records show he was booked into Bossier Maximum-Security Facility at 8:30 p.m. on 3 counts of first-degree rape, 2 counts of production of child pornography and 1 count each of molestation of a juvenile and possession of child pornography. No bond has been set.

Detectives believe Parfait, who currently lives alone, has been engaging in sexual relations with young boys for at least 7 years.

They began investigating him Monday after one of the boys came forward to law enforcement.

A search of Parfait’s residence turned up evidence of downloadable child pornography and nude photographs he had taken of the boys, the sheriff's office reports. Detectives confiscated various electronic equipment, including computers and flash drives, from the residence.

Those will be thoroughly searched through as forensic evidence as the investigation continues, the sheriff's office reports. Authorities anticipate more charges will follow.

“This is a horrific situation involving the sickening sexual exploits of this man with these young children,” Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington said.  “We will thoroughly continue this investigation to ensure complete charges are brought forth and ensure this man is never able to victimize young people again.”

Authorities ask anyone who believes their child has been in contact with Parfait, by visiting his home or through the foster care program, to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
