SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Three Shreveport businesses were robbed within 5 hours Nov. 24.

Now Shreveport police are asking for the public's help identifying 2 men in connection with holdups during which employees were held at gunpoint and cash and valuables were stolen.

Just before 1 a.m. that date, a man who acted like he was armed demanded cash at the Circle K store in the 1000 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. He fled empty-handed after failing to intimidate the employee.

The robber was described as a man in his mid-30s who was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt, denim jeans and tennis shoes.

Roughly 30 minutes later, someone very similar to the man described in the first robbery demanded money of a clerk at the Circle K in the 8500 block of Youree Drive. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was not hurt.

At 5:40 a.m. Nov. 24, a different man armed with a handgun robbed the Raceway gas station in the 200 block of East 70th Street of several cartons of tobacco products. He was wearing a dark, hooded sweater.

Authorities believe the man suspected of being involved in the first 2 robberies also was in the Raceway during the robbery, which police said suggests that the 2 might be working in tandem.

Authorities urge anyone with any information about the 2 to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit the group's website lockemup.org.
