SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A house fire and a possible shooting at a home in Ingleside are under investigation, after officers were called to the same location where a fire broke out and shell casings were found at the scene.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 2800 block of Desoto Street at 12:25 a.m. and arrived to find flames coming out of the front of the house.

According to the Shreveport Fire Department, no one was inside the home the time of the fire.

It took 22 firefighters about 16 minutes to get the fire under control, but the house was heavily damaged by smoke and fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Once the fire was under control, the fire department turned the scene over to Shreveport police to investigate the discovery of multiple shell casings found by crews at the scene.

No injuries were reported.
