Vehicle hurts bicyclist in Bossier

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle this evening in Bossier City.

A man was riding a bicycle when he was struck from behind, city spokesman Mark Natale said.

It happened on Patricia Drive near Patricia Park. Both the bicyclist and vehicle were traveling east.

Bossier City Fire Department personnel have taken the injured bicyclist to a hospital for treatment. 

The bicyclist's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Natale said. 

The driver of the vehicle has been cited for careless operation of a vehicle.
