SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A man has been rescued, after authorities say he jumped into the Red River late Wednesday night.

It happened around 11:45 p.m. near the westbound lane of the Shreveport-Barksdale bridge.

Nearly two dozen emergency crews worked to find and pull the man to safety.

Bossier Police say the man was conscious and talking before being taken to the hospital.

The westbound lanes were temporarily closed at that time; all lanes are currently back open.
