Bossier Power Equipment collects supplies for S. Louisiana

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A Bossier City business is collecting donations to help the flood victims in South Louisiana.

Bossier Power Equipment on Benton Road is collecting donations until September 10.

On that day, the plan is to send trucks filled with non-perishable food, cleaning supplies and more to our neighbors down south.

"As a Christian we should help our fellow believers and my heart just goes out to them. They've lost so much. We're so blessed that we have what we have and we just felt glad to let's just get gunho on this and see what we can dig up," said Bonnie Williamson with Bossier Power Equipment.

The things they're collecting are as follows:

  • Baby formula
  • Baby food
  • Diapers
  • Flashlights
  • Extra batteries
  • Non-perishable food
  • Sports drinks
  • Personal care items
  • Feminine products
  • Work gloves
  • Can openers (manual)
  • Plastic ware
  • Paper products
  • Blankets
  • Disposable adult diapers
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Dust mask
  • Heavy rubber kitchen gloves
  • Non-sterile surgical gloves
  • Mops
  • Brooms
  • Snow shovels
  • Hand tools
  • Kitchen items (new sets of pots/pans, cooking utensils)
  • First aid supplies
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellant
  • Pet supplies
