August 6th’s Fitness Challenge Friday brought KSLA News 12 This Morning anchor Shayne Wright to Flex Athletics in Marshall, TX. Owner Brooke LaBouve challenged Shayne to complete her 1-hour fitness class focusing on the lower body. Here’s what LaBouve had to say about how often people should focus on lower body workouts.
“It depends on the results you want. If you’re like us and you’re a lady and you really want to work your booty, you might want to hit it every other day but you definitely need a rest day. But, if that’s not your thing, maybe every three days or twice a week. The muscles in your legs are the largest muscles. They use up the most oxygen. That’s why it’s more cardio you can get two birds with one stone.”
Flex Athletics hosts boot camp classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 5 a.m. Full body classes like the one Shayne attended are hosted at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
