Joint vice operation nets 18 arrests

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

More than a dozen people are facing charges following a joint vice operation conducted over a 3 day span in Shreveport.

From April 27 - 29, agents from the Shreveport Police Department and Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office joined forces for an operation called "Spring Fling."

The operation focused on efforts of combating illegal prostitution and pandering in the Shreveport area. In all, 18 arrests were made. Agents also seized $570 in cash, 2.1 grams of suspected marijuana, 8.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 3 dosage units of suspected LSD.

All those arrested were booked into the Shreveport City Jail, with the exception of Jessica Merritt, who was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
