BISHOP FRED A. CALDWELL, SR.
Bishop Fred A. Caldwell, Sr., was born March 20, 1946 in Shreveport, LA to Dawkins and Olive Caldwell; and born again on March 2, 1972. He is an Anointed Minister of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and a Teacher of the Word of God par-excellence.
Bishop CaldweIl was a drug dealer as well as a drug addict, whose addiction led him to suicidal tendencies. While contemplating taking his own life, he had a living encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ through a Billy Graham TV Broadcast. After his new birth experience, he began immediately to take it to the street sharing Christ with anyone that would listen. God saw his faithfulness and called him into the Gospel Ministry on April 24, 1977.
Bishop Caldwell preached his first sermon at the Avenue Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA, under the pasturage of the late L.D. Scott, on June 12, 1977. On August 18, 1981, Bishop Caldwell was invited to the Greenwood Acres Missionary Baptist Church to preach on their Annual Youth Day Celebration. Because of Pastor Flynn's failing health, the church asked Bishop Caldwell to accept the pastor ship of Greenwood Acres on December 31, 1982 and that he did. At that time Greenwood Acres only had about 13 active members.
Under Bishop Caldwell's administration, Greenwood Acres is now one church in two locations. The West location was built in 1986, and in 1997 the North location "formally the Security National Bank the first black bank in Shreveport, Louisiana," was renovated and paid off in record time saving the kingdom of God thousands of dollars. Greenwood Acres new Family Life Centre' opened in September '99 to help further meet the needs of this growing congregation of more than four thousand members. This new facility houses a gymnasium, indoor walking track, fitness center (Rock Solid), restaurant (Magnolia Room), four lane bowling center (Days of Thunder), a dance studio, and a sanctuary sitting capacity of 2,500 people. "God Did It, II!"
As of October 26, 2000, Bishop Caldwell was led of the Lord to step out in faith and purchase three radio stations for the ultimate proclamation of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ making this a historical event Never has it been seen or done in the history of this city that "One Church in Two Location" would have three-radio stations.
He is married to the former Mary Kornegay, and the father of two children: a daughter, Timi and son, Fred, II. He is also the grandfather of Allen Jacobe' Caldwell.
Bishop Caldwell received his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Friends International Christian University, Merced, CA on December 15, 1992; and his Ph.D. on June 12, 1994. He is the founder of Greenwood Acres Christian College & School of Ministry with a growing enrollment.
Bishop Paul Sylvester Morton, Sr., and the Bishop's Council consecrated Bishop Fred A. Caldwell, Sr. into the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship at the Greater St. Stephens Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA, on January 14, 1994. Bishop Caldwell is one of the original 12 founding Fathers of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.
Bishop Caldwell is the President of PHOS Publishing Co., Tulsa, OK. He is a noted author of four powerful anointed books entitled: "Knowing God." published and released on July 10, 1994; "The Righteousness Of Faith.' published and released on July 10, 1995; "Trials and Glory' published and released July 7, 1997; and his fourth book, "How to Handle Your Alexander's, He Did Me Much Evil', published and released the Summer of 1998.

The Know Your Bible TV Broadcast is the first African American telecast to air weekly on a major network and is still going strong crossing racial barriers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The telecast aired first on KSLA. TV 12 in Shreveport, LA in May 1996 and then on WHNO TV 20 in the Greater New Orleans area in the same year, KSHV Cable Channel 2, and Odyssey Cable Channel 45 in Shreveport, LA.
